Scaling the Future of Energetics Through the National Armaments Consortium

The "Arsenal of Democracy" is undergoing a generational shift. As the demand for munitions and solid rocket motors reaches historic levels, the Department of Defense is looking beyond traditional procurement to a new, more agile ecosystem of innovators.

Today, Supply Energetics is proud to announce that we have officially joined the National Armaments Consortium (NAC).

For over 20 years, the NAC has served as the preeminent bridge between the DoD and the most innovative organizations in the defense industrial base. With over 1,000 members across industry and academia, the NAC is the primary engine for developing the next generation of armament technologies.

Why the NAC Matters for Energetics

The energetics supply chain is currently facing a "modernization bottleneck." Moving from WWII-era batch processing to 21st-century continuous-flow nitration requires more than just a contract-it requires a collaborative environment where industry and government requirements can meet in real-time.

By joining the NAC, Supply Energetics gains a direct seat at the table with the:

  • Department of Defense Ordnance Technology Consortium (DOTC): Accelerating the prototyping of lethal and non-lethal armaments.
  • Naval Energetics Systems and Technologies (NEST): Addressing the unique energetic requirements of the sea services.
  • Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC): Focusing on the high-performance propellants needed for modern missile systems.

From Prototype to "Always-On" Scale

The NAC’s use of Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs) allows companies like ours to move at the "speed of need." Instead of being bogged down by legacy acquisition cycles, we can collaborate directly with DoD technical leads to validate and scale our alternative feedstock and automated manufacturing technologies.

This partnership is a critical piece of our mission to build a resilient, North American "Chemical Shield." It ensures that our breakthroughs in chemical engineering are aligned with the highest-priority requirements of the American warfighter.

We are glad to join the NAC to help bridge the gap between breakthrough energetics research and "always-on" industrial scale.
